What do you make of it?
Every morning I start my day the same, I get up, make myself partially presentable, and kick-off the Keurig. Little Buddy is a light sleeper so as soon as the Keurig makes that creee…ahhhhh…k sound, he is awake.
With coffee in hand, I’m headed off
to his room to get him up and going. Then it’s breakfast and straight into our school routine. We learn, we laugh, we play, but I hardly have time for sipping on my coffee before it’s time for lunch. (Growing boys are hungry quick, ya know.)
And there it sits, my twice warmed but already cold again cup of coffee. Some days, I add ice and keep on going. Some days I warm it three, four or even five times. And then there are days where I just dump it and move on.
Why in the world am I writing about cold cups of coffee? Well, I think there is a real story here. A connection with life. (I’m thoughtful that way.)
- - Are you the type to just figure out what’s needed and keep on going? Where you add that “ice” and make it something new? Refresh the old leftovers to make them more palatable?
- - Do you have days where you just keep on reheating the old and serving it back up?
- - When do you know enough is enough of something and just dump it and move on?
So, what do you make of your cold cup of coffee?
Today, I choose to make frappes. And you?
