Mingle Monday :: Great Photography Blogs and Link Your Social Accounts

One of my favorite things about Mingle Monday is featuring other people I believe you all will enjoy! Some are new discoveries for me and some have been favorites since before I ever began blogging myself. I love to share from the different topics I enjoy reading, writing, and learning.

And y'all, I love to learn about photography and am always trying to learn how to take better photographs. I feel like I'm constantly asking my friends for photography advice and I'm definitely always reading great sites that offer photography tutorials. Mingle Monday :: Labor Day and Birthday Celebrations

I'm excited about this week's Mingle Monday! Well, I love it every week, but this week it falls on such a special day.

Monday is not only Labor Day, but it is also my sweet husband's birthday! We're spending the day with my husband's family and enjoying the last bit of summertime on the lake.

Little Buddy will most likely spend most of the time jumping off the dock. While I nervously watch with one eye closed or peeking through my fingers.

I'm still trying to decide what kind of cake to make. Most likely my Grandmother Verdie's Strawberry Cake or the Coconut Cake we all loved so much. Either way, it will be good!





But for now, it's time to Mingle!

Mingle Monday :: Start Spreading the News

I'm just back home from New York City where I attended BlogHer 2010 and then drove out to Big Summer Potluck in Pennsylvania with my dear sweet foodie buddies.

All weekend I kept thinking of the iconic Frank Sinatra song New York, New York. Especially the lyrics of "I want to wake up in a city that never sleeps."

Ain't that the truth!

Lights on all night long, cars whizzing by the hotel rooms, horns blaring at one another because three or more cars were maneuvering through a two-lane road at the same time.

Like a big ole ant pile if you knock the upper crust off of it. Busy, busy, busy.

And you know what?

My little town blues were most definitely washed away. I wasn't quiet king of the hill, but enjoyed myself thoroughly none the less.  

In that vein, for this week's Mingle Monday, let's celebrate New York City. It is absolutely the queen of social cities and in her honor, why don't we share all of our social media again.

I'm home! We had such a wonderful time on our RV trip. We visited 14 states in 15 days and traveled over 3,500 miles. Whew, that's a lot of travelin'.
