High-Heeled Shoes

High heeled shoes were my little piece of luxury. I'd save up and buy them in a 10cm and even higher. I think I can blame my obsession with these shoes on Carrie from Sex and the City when it was it's hay-day. {Speaking of which, I can't wait for the movie this summer!}

As I was cleaning out my closet this past week, I wondered what I should do with these high-heeled shoes of mine. It's not like I can wear them as Little Buddy and I "do" school. I'd look pretty foolish checking on farm animals wrapped up in my Snuggie in them. Even though they are absolutely GORGEOUS. Even the animals would surely know this. They are smart animals you know.

But you know what? I could start a trend!

I wonder what the girls at the co-op will say. Hmm, I'll let ya know. Cause I sure do love my high-heels. {At least until they start hurting my feet.}

OH - And no, you will not find the pair above in my closet. I think my baby toe would stick out the side.

Do you have high-heeled shoes in your closet that have been pushed aside for Mommy shoes?

  1. For what it's worth, i despise high-heeled shoes. I hated them when i was young and "had" to wear them to be fashionable. I was *all too happy* to relegate them to the back of my closet when my first pregnancy forced me into clogs and i have not been eager to dig them back out. Give me a nice pair of Uggs any day ;-)

    ps I love sex and the city also :-)

  2. I love high heels! I didn't start wearing them until I got married because I'm over about 6 foot 2 with them on. Luckily the hubs is 6 5 so he can deal.

    That's all I wear to work so my feet are always killing me by the end of the day, but come on, for cute heals? It's totally worth it.

    (Left you a little suttin suttin on me old blog)

  3. Yes.. my high heels have been pushed aside for mommy shoes. I still have heels... when DH and I go out I may where them, but if i am going to be walking a lot, I stick with what is comfy.

    However, heels just make you feel, I don't know.. kind of good about yourself when you are nice and dressed up:)

    HERE'S TO COMFORT!:)

  4. As much as I think shoes are pretty, I have never been able to stomach their price. I am a Payless gal, through and through (even for my wedding!).

    That said, I do love they way they make my legs look.

    Maybe you can use them as an art project? Or hammers in a pinch? :)
