The 2010 Winter Olympics take place in Vancouver, Canada February 12 - 28th. I remember growing up and being mesmerized by gracefulness of the figure skating. Remember Torvill and Dean at the Sarajevo Olympics? If for some reason you don't remember (and please don't make me feel any older than I am by saying you were too young! I, too, am just a baby.), just take a look.
I also remember being bored to absolute TEARS when any other sport was on and how LONG its seemed it lasted.
So, the point of this post?
Well, I'm gearing up for next month's Olympics to make it a fun, educational, memorable experience for Little Buddy in our homeschool. We are having an Olympics Unit Study. Sure, I'll share.
Oh YES! I totally remember them! Ice skating was the only Olympic sport I watched and cared about as a kid. I used to watch it with my mom, and we would oooh and ahhh, over the lifts:)
